NOTE : This thread is meant for the Indians ONLY - non-Indians and anti-Indians are requested to please keep away - seriously.
Lal Gehi ji, Sahastra, Kedar, Bhisma, Amrita, Nikhil, Roshan, Abhijit, Pluto, Sharanga, Frankly, Sanjoy, Chirkut, Amitayus, Champak, Carlmax1972, Aniruddha, bricktown, farzana12, ZookMan, jattwhisky, Rohit, Rahul, NoNonsense, Babylon, DecentGuy, and some other bonafide Indians who cares and concern about our motherland. Some names I might have forgotton to mention - please don't mind.
A long ago I had written how I have ended up with India-issues forum - a name inspired me and I found that with the people over here I could exchange views, where previously I couldn't. Today when I look - I question myself what I have gained and what I have contributed to our motherland during this period ?. The answer is : I learned a lot of things both from the only elder member here Shri Lal Gehi Ji (payen lagoon with most respectfully Lalji) and the youngerones, whose talent, knowlege, determination, sincere concern towards the motherland and its natives are admirable. Frankly speaking, though I was a sensitive from the childhood and very obserative but couldn't speak openly the feelings and toughts, however, India-issues forum has given me an opportunity and I have able to spoke to all of you so much in the last ten months.
I have given some details to Bhisma and Nikhil that how I had struggled for living, helping my family and self directly and our motherland by supporting with foreign currency indirectly (thats the only thing I did for my motherland - failure to do anything more than this was out of my control and not delibrate). When I look at my past my present living stardard is much better - I am proud of this that my dreams, determination, hard working and by the Mercy of God I have got more than what I had wanted and exptected. Now the question is do I want my children to continue the same way or go backward ? or they have an opportunity of sustainable development in every field, education, gain knowledge, have better living standard etc.? The obvious anwer is YES they should have better oppurtunities than me.
This is exactly what happened with Bharat Mata - 55 years ago got independence and started a new life from scratch - the harsh living standard then is well witnessed by Lalji - the first generation of post independence - and this is reason he is proud of whatever Bharat Mata has and could developed during this period. The second generation, like me, proud of this development as well. So, what is the concern now ? Shoudn't we want to see the third generation - like the rest of the all memebers mostly fell into this catagory - and the fourth generation have the oppurtunity of a further development ? or we think about going backward ? The first generation did whatever they could do with the available resources then and the second generation did and doing whatever they could. Since I am in the middle what do I expect from the third generation ? Logically you have to start from where the things are left over by us.
Sahastra has done a great job by starting this forum - surely - the objective must have been to do some constructive debate. And that ultimately should benefit the motherland and her natives. And this forum has really given a platform for interaction and understanding each other to a great extend. What is the next step now ? - should we continue like this ? or do some thing concrete ?. If you all noticed as to what happened during the last one week that some non-Indians started provoking us and we got in their trap (I am no exception), resulting loss of our financial resources (Sahastra must be paying hosting & bandwidth charges), and most importantly our precious time... I repeat .... precious time.
Ofcourse one might say, even if we have some good suggestions, whats the use, we are not the appropriate authority. But I believe today we might just be talking but one day we will be able to change the mindset of our political order - atleast to some extend - thats what I expect and wishing to do. And if we able to do least - I think we won the game. And I trust you all that today we are few and with the same process we will have more like you - than things will change drastically.
Bhisma has a good idea about a community project - so why we waste our time ? - by replying to those worthless topics like urine, dung etc. just an example.
I have the following suggestions :
1) We will continue this forum as a platform for choosing some bonafide Indians - no matter wherever they are - have talent and willingness to do whatever they can. We can finalize as to how to identify them - thats I think should not be a problem.
2) Sahastra must find a way to create a forum like the one "moderators only" but should be able to give access to the certain members only and able to restrict unwanted aliens in order for us to keep the discussion private and free from being messing-up.
3) I really don't want many of members to waste their times - I am really concern about it that they are wasting a lot of time on unnecessary on useless topics.
4) Once its done - we will list top ten problems of India needs our attention and we will really have a constructive debate - once we reached to a conclusion - we will put all those out-comes in a form of a petition or suggestion and will send to the authorities on the behalf of India-issues forum.
This may or may not work but why not give a try instead of wasting our time the way we are doing now ?
Later if require Bhisma can take this present members team to his planned community for further enhancement of our horizon.
One more thing is worth mentioning here that the talent, knowledge etc. you all have - I am far away from this. Therefore, I am just giving an advice and suggestion - in a good faith and the rest is up to you all.
Finally, if we all think that what we can do individually or thats matter every one-billionth thinks in the same line, we will never achieve our objectives.
I expect a positive response and suggestion from all of you.
God Bless you all.
